Mississippi Firm Specializes in Fire Protection
A highly-regarded life safety company — based in Mississippi and serving the entire Gulf Coast — has recently expanded its scope of operations through Membership in The PELICAN Security Network.
Security Services, LLC, headquartered in Biloxi, MS, will now widen its reach and capacity by joining the nation’s fastest-growing alliance of independently-branded fire protection and security alarm providers.
Lee A. Livingston, Owner & President of Security Services, brings to PELICAN more than 37 years of experience in the life safety and security industry. Having begun his career serving our nation in the U.S. Army, Livingston then worked in the commercial and maritime electronics field before moving to the security industry.
In 1974, he joined Day Detectives & Security, Inc., at that time the largest independent security provider in Mississippi. Eventually, Day was merged into Entergy, Inc., one of the nation’s largest public utilities, which then later sold Day to ADT Security, Inc.
In 1988, he was promoted and transferred from Jackson to Gulfport, MS, where he served as Regional Service Supervisor. Then, after the merger with Entergy, and sale to ADT, Livingston began doing independent contracting and consulting work for a number of other companies, prior to founding Security Services in 2003.
“We are honored to welcome an individual of Lee Livingston’s caliber and character to our alliance,” said Louis J. Resweber, Founder, President & Chief Operating Officer of The PELICAN Security Network. “Lee and his wife, Rose Marie (“Rosie”), are highly-respected throughout the fire and security industry for their commitment to excellence and quality customer service.”
NICET Certified Fire EngineerIn addition to his nearly four decades of “hands-on” experience,
Livingston is also licensed by the State of Mississippi’s Department of Public Safety for fire prevention / detection technology, and for advanced intrusion alert and access control systems. He has also earned NICET Level II certification from the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technology (NICET).
Resweber noted that all current Security Services customers will continue to be monitored by CMS / Criticom Monitoring Services, the nation’s largest provider of wholesale monitoring services, with fully-redundant central stations in Florida, New Jersey and California.
A Wealth of Knowledge and Expertise
“Moreover,” Resweber said, “while Lee will continue to serve his own base of long-time and loyal customers, from his ‘home office’ in Biloxi, he will also now be in a position to share his unique knowledge and unparalleled expertise — primarily in fire system design, engineering, installation and inspections — with the other Member Companies in our rapidly-growing Network.”
PELICAN, one of the 50 largest providers of security alarm services in the entire United States, is the industry’s fastest-growing alliance of independently-branded life safety and security services providers, fire prevention and detection companies, systems integrators, structured wiring specialists, and electrical contractors.
Through its Member Companies, PELICAN strives to exceed the expectations of those customers it is privileged to serve; and to surpass the highest standards of regulatory compliance for life safety, property protection, access control, security surveillance and fire detection.
PELICAN is ranked as one of the 50 largest providers of security services in the entire United States. |
