6,900 Customers in Texas Join PELICAN Network
More than 6,900 new customers have been added to The Pelican Security Network in Texas.
CoSecurity, Inc. — a security services provider with origins dating back to the 1930’s — has joined the nation’s fastest-growing alliance of independently-branded burglar and fire alarm companies, systems integrators, structured wiring specialists and electrical contractors.
“As a veteran of 42 years in this industry, I am pleased to offer our customers the wider range of products and services now available through our affiliation with PELICAN,” said Don F. Allen, President of CoSecurity, which serves the entire Dallas /Fort Worth area.
“Indeed, my decision to join PELICAN is consistent with my life-long goal of providing the highest level of life safety and property protection services to the customers that I’ve been privileged to serve all these years.”
Dating All the Way Back To 1937
CoSecurity is the successor to CoServ Security, a unit of CoServ Electric, the second-largest electrical co-operative in the State of Texas, which has continuously served public utility customers since 1937 when it was founded as the Denton County Electrical Co-Op under the U.S. Federal Rural Electrification Act of 1936.
Since January 2005, CoSecurity has focused on the design, engineering, installation, servicing and monitoring of electronic security and fire alarms, access control and video surveillance systems. In recent years, CoSecurity has expanded its market reach with the acquisition of accounts from All Around Security in Granbury, TX and Southwest Security in Flower Mound, TX.
Today, CoSecurity is widely respected as an innovative leader in providing advanced technical solutions for life safety and security. And it is recognized for the 150 years of combined industry experience among its senior management team — all of who will remain with CoSecurity.
“In fact, under the PELICAN Program, there will be no change in CoSecurity’s long-standing commitment to providing the very best in local, personalized customer service,” said Louis J. Resweber, Founder, President & Chief Operating Officer of PELICAN.
Allen agreed. “CoSecurity will continue to be a local company, our name will stay the same, we’ll still have the same phone number and office location, here in Dallas, and it will continue to be staffed by the same management, administrative and technical team as before.”
The Dallas office will continue to be managed by Sherry R. Simms, who has been with CoSecurity since it was spun off by the public utility, and who has headed administration, operations and customer service for a half-dozen alarm companies over the past 27 years.”
Management & Monitoring To Remain In Place
“Sherry and her team are excited about the new opportunities provided by our nationwide network,” said Resweber. “And we are equally thrilled to be working with such experienced and dedicated professionals, who are committed to manage the day-to-day operations of CoSecurity, just as they have done so well in the past.”
All CoSecurity fire and security systems will continue to be monitored by Southwest Dispatch Center of Richardson, TX, the largest independently-owned, Underwriters Laboratories (UL) certified central monitoring station in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area.
Through its Member Companies, PELICAN serves tens of thousands of residential, commercial, industrial and institutional customers across the country. In fact, PELICAN today is ranked as one of the 50 largest providers of security services in the entire United States. |
