Alarm & Security Serves New Orleans, Gulf Coast

Alarm & Security Technologies, Inc., one of the oldest and largest life safety and security services providers in the Greater New Orleans area, has recently become a Member of The PELICAN Security Network.

Based in Covington, LA — in the rapidly-growing “Northshore” region bordering Lake Pontchartrain — Alarm & Security has been designing, installing and servicing custom electronics for more than 35 years.

In addition, Alarm & Security also serves residential and commercial customers all across the Gulf Coast Region, extending from Texas, across South Louisiana, to Mississippi, Alabama and Northwest Florida.

With this transaction, Alarm & Security becomes the fourth company in the New Orleans / Northshore area to join the Network in the past two years, joining:

  • Safeway Industries / Controls & Motions;
  • Campo Home Security Systems;
  • and Westco Security Systems.

Timothy C. Joubert, Owner & President of Alarm & Security, said his decision to become affiliated with a
nationwide network like PELICAN simply marks another step in a long series of positive advancements which has characterized the ongoing evolution of the Company he founded more than 35 years ago.

Continuing to Serve New Orleans & the Northshore

“While we have always strived to continuously improve our Company, it is important to note that there will be no change in the level of quality products we offer — nor in our commitment to customer service — which has always been the hallmark of Alarm & Security Technologies,” said Joubert.

“We have remained local, our phone numbers have remained the same, and they are still be answered by Sales Manager Jack Mitchell, Office Manager Nichole Komorowski and rest of our highly-trained and friendly staff to which our loyal customers have grown accustomed.”

In addition, all Alarm & Security accounts will continue to be monitored — as they have in the past — by Command Central, a division of Acadian Monitoring Service, a nationally-recognized industry leader in electronic surveillance, crisis response and emergency dispatch.

According to Joubert, “My goal, in affliating wth The Pelican Security Network, was to:

  • continue providing the level of service expected from a locally-owned-and-operated provider;
  • while also offering a much wider range of innovative products and services often available only through larger regional or national companies.

“Believe me, I did not reach this decision quickly, nor without a lot of forethought,” Joubert explained. “In fact, I researched every possible consideration, diligently
explored every possible option, and even engaged widely-recognized experts and industry consultants from Chicago, and their requested their independent analysis prior to making a move.”
